Latest updates: As per the latest news on Uttar Pradesh Police mains written examination process was completely successfully on 14th December 2014 (14-12-2014). The Uttar Pradesh Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) is a authorized body behind organizing all the recruitment process in Police force in state of UP. The board had conducted pre exam, physical efficiency test and mains exam earlier this year.

All those aspirants who wants to join up police department as constable have to all these three test. After qualifying last exam they have to undergo through medical examination and document verification. Well this is a crucial phase because exam are oven now and almost all candidates will be looking for Cutoff to know how much marks they have managed to score.

Final merit list: The final merit list for UP Police Constable posts will be decided by combining the Physical Efficiency test and Mains exam marks. Pre written marks will not be counted while preparing final list. PET Plus Mains Exam (for male constable posts)
  • General Category: 280 or above
  • OBC Categories : 265 or above
  • ST/ SC category: 250 or above
Cut off marks for female candidates 

  • GEN: 265 marks or above
  • OBC: 255 marks or above
  • ST/SC: 235 marks or above


The minimum qualifying marks for main written exam is 35 percent of total marks i.e 139 marks.

According to official notice a combined merit/ cutoff list will be prepared for different category candidates. Its necessary for all to secure at least 35% marks out of total marks which means 139 or above. There are 4,30,879 candidates who qualified PET and appeared for mains.
